I just finished a cool jazzy-sounding song. The title is “Trapped In A Dead Man’s Body” or maybe just “Dead Man’s Body”. Anyone, the chorus goes “Trapped in a dead man’s body”. I have it stuck in my head. Even though it’s the simplest song I’ve probably ever written, I love it. The solo is pretty good. My first take sucked, but my second take was amazing and perfectly captured what I wanted it to.
Trapped in a dead man’s body: physically? emotionally? metaphorically?
The lyrics of the song do not answer such a question.

In the last year, I think I’ve called 911 3 or 4 times. That is way too many times to call the cops in one year, wouldn’t you say? Especially since I had never called the cops before this last year, I don’t think.

Check it out. This is really pretty neat. Gary Seber under “For Guitar Lovers” is pretty cool as is the “Sbass” one under the sleep thing.
I am really digging this Seber stuff! Very groove-oriented.
My favorite category thing so far? Acoustic noir, shadowy country, raspy darkgrass

It’s been a weird summer. I keep forgetting who I am, wondering where I am, where I have been, what I am, what I have been doing, what I have been thinking, etc.
I can’t sleep. Yet it’s 3:30 in the morning!
This whole music while sleeping thing is somewhat effective, but the glowing of this computer stuff in my room is a bit weird. My whole day just goes by in this weird glow. My blackout curtains are not blackout curtains at all, though they do apparently block out 99% of light, giving me this weird glow during the day too.
I’m going to do a diary entry soon to try to clear my head, but I don’t think it will work. It will probably just make me more confused and reminiscent of whatever I think I might have been at one point.
It’s too hot here. I really need a change of scenery. My trip to Seattle may be the best thing that could possibly happen right now.
My car might be on the way to being fixed, but I’ve been through that before. That would surely help me get out of this funk.
Of course, I have been writing songs all day. And songwriting days seem to be the worst days of all, truthfully. Sure I love the song and am madly in love with it and I feel it is one of my greatest achievements. But it just drains me! I probably worked on songs for about 8 hours today. Totally worth it though, I think.
